How much experience does the caterer have in hosting events?
Wagner’s of Westlake was opened specifically as a banquet facility center in 1965 and have held more wedding receptions than any other venue in Western Cuyahoga County. In addition to wedding receptions, we have been a leading event venue choice for proms, corporate events, after-funeral luncheons, class reunions, fundraisers, baby showers, bridal showers or any special event where quality food and a great atmosphere is desired.
Is there an onsite kitchen or is it being delivered to the facility?
Having an onsite kitchen is an important ingredient. Our Executive Chef prepares your menu the day of your event. In that way, he is certain that he has the freshest products and can avoid any re-heating of food.
What type of menu options can I choose from?
Our sit-down dinners offer a selection of delicious chicken dishes, grilled filet of beef, prime rib, grilled salmon and chicken / beef combination plates. A great steak and lobster would please any guest! The Grand Buffet provides a choice of two meats and a pasta. Both menu options include your choice of a fresh potato, fresh vegetable, dinner salad, hot rolls and butter, beverage service of regular / decaf coffee and tea. Other menu options include luncheons, pasta stations, breakfast and brunch buffets and more.
Does the caterer offer a food tasting?
Your catering costs will be a large portion of your custom event and Wagner’s is proud to offer you a taste of our high quality menu options.
Does the caterer provide bar packages?
Wagner’s offers both a Premium and Elite Bar package. A per person set-up fee applies that includes bartenders, ice, glassware for the entire event time, mixes including various juices, sweet and dry vermouth, Triple Sec, Lemix, Grenadine, Bitters, soft drinks, tonic, club soda and garnishes. Other bar options are Champagne toasts, soft drink package, cash bar, host bar, and beer and wine package.
What is the benefit of working with an event venue that has a liquor license versus a facility where you can bring in your own alcohol?
The best way to impact a guest’s enjoyment is to run out of their preferred liquor, beer, wine and/or wash. When you purchase your own alcohol, it is almost impossible to determine what, and how much, your guests will drink. Since there is no true formula, a host can easily under or over-estimate their needs. With our liquor license, Wagner’s is able to assure you an ample quantity on hand at an affordable price. No matter your choice, encourage responsible drinking.
What is the caterer’s average price range?
Our average per person luncheon options start at $16.50 per person and our dinner options start at $32.50 per person. We have several bar options that would be at an additional cost. Our All-Inclusive Dinner package features a sit-down dinner with a 5-hour open bar at a very affordable price. We provide you an itemized quote detailing your choices and it will reflect the service charge and sales tax.
Is there a banquet room charge in addition to the event catering cost?
When you sign a contract with Wagner’s, it is an all-inclusive pricing structure with no additional room charge. An evening event is for five hours. Additional time, with or without bar service, is available.
Can I have a wedding ceremony in a ballroom?
Yes! You can choose to hold the ceremony in your room or choose another ballroom for the wedding ceremony only. Please ask for pricing.
What do you supply for linens and table settings?
Each table is set with white or ivory linens and your choice of colored napkins. White china and stem glassware for ice water at each setting. Head table, gift table and cake table are skirted at no additional cost. We can provide a quote for items such as chair covers, bows and overlays.
Can I bring in my own cake?
Yes, and our professional event staff will cut and serve your cake as dessert at no additional cost to you.
When can I come in to decorate the room?
Wagner’s of Westlake does everything possible to provide you access to your room the day prior to your special event so you can check it off your “to-do” list. In the event we do have another function in that room, we will do all possible to assist you with room décor.
Can I bring in my own centerpieces?
Feel free to design your own centerpieces. We do offer small and large candleholders, vases and mirrors for a nominal rental charge.
Is there parking for my guests?
Our large area provides ample well-lit parking for you and your guests.
